Snuffie was an incredibly affectionate old lady, with a lovely and soft coat of fur and the loudest purr we’ve ever heard! She was mostly an indoor cat, although she was allowed outside in the garden provided one of us was keeping an eye on her so she wouldn’t wander off, as she was not a street wise cat and could’ve easily got lost.
She could be a fussy eater and sometimes would turn up her nose at her tinned food, but she never turned down her weekly portion of steamed fish, which she really lapped up. She loved getting brushed every morning, and would sit on top of her cat tree and wait patiently for us to oblige. And she loved to play too!
She also loved sitting on the deck on sunny days, and watching the variety of birds coming and going to feed on the trees and shrubs and drinking and bathing in the bird bath.
She had lost her longlife mate a few months earlier and really relished getting affection. She would start purring the moment you came anywhere near her and loved having her chin and belly stroked! It was extremely hard to say goodbye after 7 weeks!
